So Many Ways, So Little Time

Busy office worker

The way we work

Have you ever thought about how a toothless smile might hamper you? Would you even smile or would you feel too self-conscious? Could you find a job? What would you eat? At Howard Dental Center, we know the importance of a healthy mouth and offer our services virtually free, because  90% of our patients don’t have the resources to pay for the much-needed services.

Our ability to provide the comprehensive and compassionate oral health care our patients so desperately need is dependent on grants and individual contributions.

The way it works

Financial gifts from individuals like you can play an even greater role in our overall resource plan. Heavy reliance on federal and foundation grants leaves Howard Dental Center vulnerable to funding decisions out of our control. However, individual contributions provide sustainability – a more predictable income source that gives us the opportunity to plan ahead and effectively serve an ever-growing need.

So many ways

There are many ways you have supported us in the past: requests for donations via mailed newsletters and our annual holiday letter, Bingo Ball, Tooth Fairy membership, and last, but not least, tip jars at a fundraising event sponsored by others – all much appreciated! However, our fundraising can be more cost-effective...

So little time

Since there are so many ways, and so little time, why not:

  • Help create operational efficiencies for HDC (the most bang for the buck)?
  • Help provide HDC with a reliable and sustainable source of income?
  • Take advantage of a convenient and easy way to show your support for HDC?

If the answer is yes, we encourage you to make a Recurring Gift – a donation amount paid regularly.

  • Name Howard Dental Center as the beneficiary of an existing life insurance plan.

  • Remember deceased loved ones with a memorial gift to Howard Dental Center.

  • Consider using assets for your charitable gift. These can include, but are not limited to: stocks, bonds, CDs, real estate, vehicles, art, and jewelry. Such gifts may even provide a tax savings to you and your family.

  • Purchase a new life insurance policy naming Howard Dental Center as the beneficiary.

  • Ask your financial advisor to include charitable giving a part of their counsel to other clients.
